Yes! We can send samples! There is a small cost associated as we try to provide the best example and material for your project. Preferably, we are more than happy to have clients schedule a time to come to our office to be shown the different material options first hand and take a few samples home with them.

We specialize in educating our clients on our materials so it isn’t just the look they desire, but it will also last in the situation it will be living in. Providing a consultation on your project will help us accomplish getting you the right look and the best wear for the tear material.

Can I use my own designs?

Absolutely! Some of our customers are artists and graphic designers who need quality prints and we are happy to make these happen. Or, if you have the pieces you know you want worked into the design, we can work with them in a layout to make sure they are set in the best location for your needs. If it is a pre-designed car wrap or a specialty install, please note that we may have to include layout fees to make sure your design is a proper fit to where you want it to live. We do require proof of Copyright or permission or licensing for reproducing protected graphics and artwork.

How much does a vehicle wrap cost?

Most everything we create at Ink Monstr is custom made to each client, that’s why we don’t have a specific price list. Based on the type of material, amount of material used, cut style and the difficulty of install will all be factors in your pricing. Door jams are not done as part of a full wrap but can be included for additional cost if desired. We recommend scheduling a time to have the vehicle brought to our facility and be surveyed. There is a $50.00 deposit to schedule the survey, which includes the first half hour of the survey. Each additional half hour will be charged at $50.00 but the initial deposit will be credited towards the final invoice of the project. If you decide to provide the measurements yourself or would like to rely on the vehicle template alone we will not be responsible for reprints that may be needed due to inaccuracy of measurements.

What is a Site Survey?

  • For Surface Wraps: We always recommend a site survey to ensure accurate measurements and assessment of the installation site for the best print and proper install. We require a $100.00 deposit + applicable travel fees to schedule the site survey, which includes the first hour of the survey. Each additional half hour will be charged at $50.00 and we will credit the $100 deposit on the final invoice of the project. This is applicable for local projects only but we can schedule site surveys outside of our local territory through our network of certified installers to accommodate your needs (fees will apply). You can provide us the information and measurements for your project if you would prefer but we cannot guarantee an accurate installation or be responsible for any reprints needed. For Vehicle Wraps: Our process for vehicle wraps involve multiple steps to for accuracy of layout and application of graphics. We use a combination of templates and taken measurements to determine how best to place graphics to achieve the desired appearance without losing important information to seams, accessories or other obstructions on the vehicles service. The following is a list of items we will need for vehicle installations:
  • Straight on photos of the vehicle from all sides and top down photos of any horizontal surface.
  • Measurements of the vehicle/areas where graphics are to be applied to
  • Dimensions of graphics (if not a full wrap)
  • *Vehicle Template if a full wrap.
  • Placement measurements of graphics (i.e. 3” from left edge of panel and 8” from bottom)
  • Location measurements of obstructions (door handles, decals, body molding, etc.)
  • *Please note we charge a $100.00 fee for procuring vehicle templates which will be credited back to the final invoice of the vehicle wrap. Additionally, from our experience vehicle templates are not always 100% accurate.

How does payment work?

Deposits are required on all custom projects. We are as committed to the project as you are and payment upfront ensures that our in-house team has all the tools they need in order to begin your design and project production. All deposits are applied to the total price of the project. If we quote a certain number of design hours on a project, and you give us the guidance so it is knocked out sooner, those fees will be applied to production. After you have approved the proof of your project, we will send an electronic invoice to the email provided and you can easily pay online with a credit card. You can pay for your order anytime before receiving your final product. For rush orders we require payment upfront before we begin production as well to cover material costs.

How long will my order take?

Yes! Check out our pricing table in the about section.

What is CMYK vs RGB?

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) is used in printing while RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is used for digital. The biggest difference is that digital uses colored lights which mix differently than ink. If your files are formatted for RGB and are getting printed the colors will print several shades different.

What is a Vector Graphic vs a Raster Graphic?

A rasterized images such as .JPGs and .PNGs. are made up of millions of little dots like in a photograph. With a rasterized image the image can only get so large before it looks pixelated and you can see the dots it’s made up of. A Vector image uses lines and complex math so that no matter what size you change the image to it won’t look blurry. Learn More

Logos should always be a vector image and are usually in an .ai, .eps or .pdf file format. Photographs (Rasterized images) should be at 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) and saved as .jpg/.jpeg, .psd, .png, .tiff, .bmp or .gif.

What is Dye Sublimation?

We specialize in dye sublimation which is a process specific to polyester fibers. We have several materials you can choose from our stock or if we are using your material it would need to be polyester dominant for us to be able to print onto it. The higher the polyester content, the more vibrant the print will turn out otherwise the material will print with a vintage appearance. We offer sample pricing of our fabrics for $50.00 (one yard of printed fabric) or can produce a sample of a provided fabric for the same pricing. If provided the fabric we may opt to print on the material using a flat press instead of running it through our roll printers which will provide Two 18” x 24” prints. This is to avoid any issues or potential damage to our larger equipment by sending foreign materials through. For production printing, our minimum yardage is five yards and pricing varies based on the material selected for printing.

What fabric works best with Dye Sublimation?

100% polyester fibers work best but dye sublimation can be performed with polyester mixes of 80% poly/20% other fabric type. Since dyes are being put into the fabric, rather than onto the fabric, it does require the dye to work against any dye that may already be in the garment. It is best to begin with a material that is completely white and freshly introduce the colors into the material.

Does it cost more for each color in my design?

What is the turn around time for dye sublimation materials?

Our turnaround times are 7-10 business days, but often get things out the door faster.

May I provide my own fabrics?

Absolutely! We do ask that you let us do a test print first. The way the material was treated before it comes to us or you may affect how the dyes set into it. We strive to deliver the best possible quality product and ensure you walk away with exactly what you expected.
